Meet Roo, A.K.A. Ruby...

What has happened since we adopted "Roo", now known as "Ruby", is nothing short of remarkable.

When I first saw Ruby, she was in her cage, and didn't want to come out.  I plied her with a bit of lunch meat, and after a bit she ventured out.  I felt so bad for her, because she was obviously mistreated prior to being rescued, and appeared a bit wary.  However, on the way home she snuggled up to Rebecca, my granddaughter. 

I gave her a bed right next to mine, and for the first day she spent most of her time there.  I laid on the bed and petted and talked to her for over an hour.  She's now a new gal!  She plays with all the other dogs, she knows her name and comes when called, and gladly greets visitors.  I think she's pretty young, as she plays like a puppy, running after a toy and then pouncing on it.  And she's bonding to me.  She seeks me out and then rubs all over my legs.  I'm home most of the time, so she spends most of her time with me, although she made a bee line to my husband when she first came here.  She really likes him, and he's in love!
She is such a happy dog, and smiles constantly!  She sleeps in my bed every night, and plays with the other dogs most of the day.  The rash that was on her head and face is gone, and her fur has gotten so soft, as it was brittle when we got her.  She is such a success story, as she has fitted in so well with everyone here, both human and dog!

I just wanted to bring you up to date on how she's getting along...which is great!!  I'm including some pictures for you, and I hope you enjoy them.  We love her so much, and thank all of you for allowing us to adopt her.
